Quezon City (Lungsod Quezon) also known as QC or Kyusi) is the most populous and a highly urbanized city in the Philippines. It is the largest city in terms of population and land area in Metro Manila (the National Capital Region).
Quezon City hosts a number of government offices such as the Batasang Pambansa Complex (the seat of the House of Representative, the lower Chamber of the Philippine Congress), and the Reception House (the current seat of the Vice President of the Philippines).
It is also the home of the University of the Philippines Diliman (the National University) and Ateneo de Manila University
Near the center of the city is The Quezon Memorial Circle, which serves as a national park and shrine of the late President Manuel L. Quezon. Its main feature is the mausoleum that contains his remains of President Quezon with his wife, First Lady Aurora Quezon.
The park is an ellipse bounded by the Elliptical Road which serves as a major artery connecting 6 major roads (Quezon Avenue, East Avenue, Kalayaan Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue, Visayas Avenue and North Avenue) going to different cities with Casa Milan just 11 kilometers away and Cubao (the business and commercial center) just 9 kilometers away.
